Chris Jones’ shots saved Valencia and Billy Hernangomez was good and deadly for Barcelona
Billy Hernangometh had 22 points and 8 rebounds, but in the end he drew the foul that gave Chris Jones three shots and the chance to clear Valencia-Barcelona.
With a continuous counterattack, Barcelona tried to “steal” the victory in Valencia on Sunday evening (October 29th), but in the final Billy Hernangomet was not focused enough, he pressed Chris Jones more than he should and was accused of the foul that that game decided.
The homegrown American hit three shots at 4.7 inches for a 71-68 final and capped his night in the best possible way by scoring 17 points (7/10 2pts). Fatal… beautiful Hernangometh (22 points, 5/9 2 points, 2/2 3 points, 6/9 shots, 8 rebounds in 28:34, followed by Nikola Kalinic (15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists).
The hosts took a 6-1 lead in the Liga Endesa, the Catalans lost 5-2 and finished the game with 12/33 and two points.
