Barcelona – Badalona 81-87: Break with brilliant Tomic and 1-1 in the semifinals

With an impressive display from Ande Tomic, Badalona impressed and injured Barcelona (87-81) to secure a 1-1 lead in the Endesa Liga semifinals series.

Barcelona had the title of favorites for another game but Badalona were impressive and strong, winning 87-81 at the Palau Blaugrana and balancing the Liga Endesa semi-final series perfectly. The Yassikevitsios team were caught off guard, which the guests took full advantage of in a series that is essentially starting over.

Badalona showed a very competitive face in the first half, they were undeterred as Barcelona took the lead and stayed close to goal. The visitors took out the defense, hit the bat and went into the dressing room at +2 (40-42) at halftime, with Bass and Felith doing an excellent job.

The good image of the guests continued in the second half, with the difference opening up dangerously. Badalona hit the Blaugrana’s weaknesses, forcing them with a foul and after Tomic seized the initiative, he was sent off.
