Real Madrid in the final of the Endesa League with a broom on Baskonia
Finalists in the Spanish championship are Real Madrid, who defeated Baskonia in Vitoria (85-77) and continue with the background at the top.
In the final of the Liga Endesa, with three wins in equal number of games, Real qualified when they passed the Fernando Buesa Arena (85-77) on Tuesday evening (7/6) to end the Basque season.
Chos Mateo filled the gap for Pablo Lasso, who received a wonderful standing ovation in front of the game’s crush and his athletes who cleaned with short procedures. Eddie Tavares was out of contention (23 points, 8/13 two points, 7/7 shots, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Coser, Hanga and Deck were great and the Madrilenians are still aiming for the championship.
Wade Baldwin spearheaded Basconia (26 points, 8/12 two points, 3/8 three points, 1/2 shots) and was the only one who fought, persevered and showed competitiveness. His team will now turn the tide, change coaches and hope for better days.
THE TEN MINUTES: 14-25, 36-41, 53-66, 77-85
