Real Madrid: Sergio Yul is back in the spotlight of the Catalan press for comments on the referees
Sergio Yul is emerging as persona non grata for the Catalan press, with the new source of criticism being given by the way he spoke to referees in the Endesa clasico league.
As much as Sergio Yul is loved by Real Madrid friends, he is hated by those at Barcelona. The same applies to the Catalan press, which at every opportunity hastens to criticize the attitude, behavior and manner of the leader of the “Queen”.
This year saw the first opportunity at the EuroLeague Clasico (on December 10, 2021) when the camera “caught” him raising the middle finger to organized Barcelona fans after the final of the game.
Another was played during the Endesa Liga Clasico, on the night of Sunday 23 January. Certainly not as “strong” as its predecessor. See, the camera caught him talking to the umpires in a not-so…polite way.
“You are unhappy‘ he exclaimed alongside the snap, which was captured by the friends of Barcelona from TV coverage and shared very quickly via social media. The press of Catalonia was also nearby, which of course did not miss the opportunity to reproduce the relevant snapshot. . .
