‘Kalathis wants to leave Barcelona over bad relations with Yassikevitsios’
Nick Kalathis’ relationship with Saronas Yassikevitsios seems to have reached an impasse, according to Spanish reports, with the international guard reportedly ready to leave the Catalans.
There was smoke, after all there seems to be a fire. Yesterday (19/6) the publication that Nick Kalathis is in Maccabi and Fenerbahce’s sights proves it was no coincidence. Because according to today’s (20.6.) release of “Mundo Deportivo”, the National Guard wants to leave the Catalans due to his bad relationship with Saronas Yassikevitsios.
The two men appear to have had several conflicts of late with the result that Kalathis is now weighing all his options and handing him another one-year deal. In fact, the same publication gives an even greater basis to the releases of the last few days as it also speaks of interest from Maccabi and Fenerbahce.
At the same time, it is added that the Catalans want to lower their budget in the new season, with a potential Kalathis departure likely to help.
In any case, the developments in Barcelona after Real’s championship loss are likely to be rapid, in a season that is considered a total failure.
