Liga Endesa: According to a Spanish publication, Gasol will remain in Girona for the new season
Marc Gasol helped Girona to ACB and will stay at the Catalan club for one more season, according to a L’Esportiu journalist.
He led Girona to Spain’s top division, the Liga Endesa, and intends to play with their shirt in their first season at the top of the country. The reason behind Mark Gasol set to stay for one more season at the Catalan club he manages.
ThatAccording to L’Esportiu journalist Xavi Balesteros, Gasol has no intention of retiring and will lead his team to the big halls. The former NBA player has been the best for his team this year while, despite his injury, he offered 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in the penultimate game of the playoffs in the final that sent Girona to the big leagues.
At the age of 37, Gasol founded the team in 2014 and took it from Spain’s fourth division to the country’s basketball elite.
