Peters terminates his contract with Baskonia and approaches Olympiakos

According to SER Vitoria, Baskonia is beginning to discuss the release of Alec Peters, a development Olympiacos are waiting for to formalize their takeover.

In the process of terminating the contract that binds him to Baskonia, he enters Alex Petersaccording to the report of SER Vitoria.

The 27-year-old American power forward (2.06), who is extremely interesting for Olympiakos in position “4”, as Sportish revealed a few days ago, has already agreed to leave the Spanish team and not complete the third year of the contract, that binds him to her.

It is a common wish of both sides, because on the one hand Baskonia wants to get rid of his contract by emptying a squad place, on the other hand the player has already found his next professional port.

After all, the Basques have already identified their dream player. Of course not in position. This is 21-year-old French guard Hugo Besson, who is participating in the NBA Summer League with the team “downloaded” by the Milwaukee Bucks, who acquired his rights from the Pacers on draft night.

Besson is one of the New Zealand Breakers, with whom he averaged 13.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists last year. So the formula for its release should be found.

Olympiacos is of course interested in when Peters is free from signing.

The 27-year-old American has played for CSKA Moscow, Anadolu Efes and Baskonia for the past four years, is a superb three-point shooter and now has extensive experience at EuroLeague level, an element Giorgos Bartzokas looks for in his athletes to invest in.

Peters went through Valparaiso University from 2013 to 2017, was drafted 54th overall by the Phoenix Suns in 2017, and played with them for one season. He shot 43.3% from three-pointers in 36 games at CSKA, 41.7% in 27 games at Anadolu Efes and 44.7% in 33 EuroLeague games at Baskonia.
