Jasikevicius can’t stand so many games: “EuroLeague ignores us”
Sarunas Yassikevitsios asks FIBA to find a way to communicate with the EuroLeague, stating that the many games result in serious injuries to athletes in Europe.
The busy schedules of the best basketball teams in Europe cause many problems and serious injuries, while also throwing national team games off balance. The philosophical difference between FIBA and EuroLeague is huge, the gulf remains bridged, yet Saronas Yassikevitsius remains hopeful that there will be a solution to this problem at some point.
“The EuroLeague game against FIBA must end. We kill the players! There are so many injuries. We send our protests but the EuroLeague ignores us“, were the words of the Lithuanian coach of Barcelona on the Catalan radio station RAC1.
