Speaking at Panathinaikos’ media day, Dejan Radonic clarified that it’s too early to talk about goals, adding that the Greens will be complete as of tomorrow (27/9) as Ponitka and Grigonis will be integrated into training. What George Papagiannis said from his side.

Dejan Radonic never liked big words. This was proven once again at the Panathinaikos media day, when the Greens coach avoided talking about goals ahead of the new season.

Radonic insisted that the Greens don’t even have a full-squad training session, while adding that tomorrow (27/9) Mateus Ponitka and Marius Grigonis will be there.

The “Klee” technician explained in detail:

How long must Panathinaikos be ready: “We can’t know for sure. Tomorrow all players will finally be available to us. A week ago Papagiannis trained with us. Let’s go step by step to see where we stand. We are a new team. Ponitka and Grigonis will be with us for the first time tomorrow. We will do what is necessary and we must be patient in our plan“.

For a possible encounter with Olympiakos in the Supercup final:Most EuroLeague teams are in the same stage. We’re focusing on how we’re all going to be on the pitch together to do our best both in training and in the tournament. We’ll try to be as competitive as possible at the start and after a few weeks we’ll talk about our goals.”

For a message to send to the team’s fans:We will give everything we have in every game. It’s not a good time to say much, especially for the EuroLeague, but we have to be ready if we have to. I hope we can be competitive and happy at the end of the season.”

Papagiannis: “We are a new team, let’s change the signs in the new year”

For his part, George Papagiannis stressed: “We’re a new team with a lot of additions, new coach. Of course we want to change this sign after the bad season last year and make this year positive. We want to do better than last year.”

Referring to the Super Cup, which is the team’s first goal, he stressed: “For the time we’ve had in preparation, I think we’ll be at 100%. However, the team needs more time to find their automations and hopefully we will be healthy for the Euroleague as well.

For team goals: We want to have a better picture than last year and last year, that’s for sure. We have good material and finishing in the top eight is a goal.”
