Pick ‘n’ Popa draws first balances and impressions from the first friendlies between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos ahead of the 2022/23 season.

At the tournaments “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” in Athens and “Neofytos Handriotis” in Cyprus we basically had the new season unveiling for Panathinaikos and Olympiakos respectively. The teams were missing, maybe they are waiting for additions, but nevertheless they gave us a picture of how they will be and what they will play in the next 9 months.

Are they getting better or worse than last year? What do the September prophecies say (…which next April sees and laughs)?

More details:

  • Where can Panathinaikos get the platoon operation set up by Pedoulakis-Randonic?
  • The motto at Panathinaikos is “do it like 2012”, but is 2022 a completely different matter?
  • Who are the top performers, weak points and guarantors for the “green” season?
  • In truth, barring contingencies and injuries, is it possible that Olympiacos is different from last year?
  • The Peters factor, what does Canaan bring and what will Dorsey miss?
  • Are there insidious variables in Olympiacos’ season?

And also?

  • Do we like the regulation of the Spaniards with the reset?
  • Thoughts and prayers for Jimmy Butler’s new hair?
  • Short trailer for the Pistons as the most hyped team in this year’s NBA.

Stay hopeful!
