Monaco’s budget increased by 47% to over 20 million euros
Monaco have their sights set on a Final Four ticket, with official figures showing their annual budget has increased by 47% year-on-year to more than €20m.
According to the relevant official information, what appeared as information two months ago turned out to be true. LNB has announced the annual budgets of the teams in France, with Monaco emerging as… champions. Both in absolute numbers and as a percentage of the increase compared to last season.
Specifically, according to official figures, Monaco’s annual budget increased from €14,126,000 to €20,724,000, an increase of 47%. A percentage far from the LNB average (8%) and even higher than the increase recorded by Villerban, which went from €15,068,000 to €15,762,000.
Monaco owners have proven over the past two years that they are not afraid to raise the bar (financially and competitively), with Saša Obradović now recognizing that anything short of participating in the EuroLeague Final Four is a failure will be!
