The EuroLeague standings after Panathinaikos’ big win in Belgrade
Panathinaikos went up to 1-1 after beating Red Star in Belgrade, to 2-0 Monaco, who also defeated Anadolu Efes in extra time.
The second matchday of the regular season started on Thursday evening (October 13th) with two games in Belgrade and Monte Carlo. Panathinaikos beat Red Star 77-75, improving to 1-1 and dropping the Serbs to 0-2, while the Monegasques withstood extra time to defeat two-time European champions Anatolou Efes 95-92.
The night ended with Virtus Bologna beating Bayern Munich (66-63) and Barcelona ‘surviving’ in the Gránginho Clasico against Real Madrid (75-73), while the program for Friday (14/10) has five games ahead the first week of the coming season.
