Armani Milano – Basconia 89-78: The Italians won with pluralism in attack

With polyphony in attack, Armani Milano had no major problems against Basconia and won the 26th game of the EuroLeague with 89:78. The Italians thus remained at the top of the table and dynamically continued their consolidation in the trio with a record of 17:7, when Baskonia fell back to 7:17.

Hall and Meli led for Armani, but nobody was left behind in the offensive part. On the other hand, Basconia made the last attempt to get back into the game but it wasn’t enough. The only threat from the Spanish side was Costello with 23 points while Baldwin had 16.

The race

Armani Milano got off to a good start and with Meli driving, the Italians were up in double digits by the end of the first ten minutes. Basconia had Matthew Costello as their only offensive weapon, but their defense was the one that struggled the most. They let Armani score 40 points at halftime and trailed them with 15 points in 20 minutes.

In the second half, Basconia did everything to come back, but the difference in performance was obvious. Armani Milano didn’t look back, attacking with polyphony and dominating the racquet especially with Meli. Victory was not long in coming and the Italians remained at the top of the table.
