Hines chose a favorite teammate and a more difficult home
From Spanoulis and Batiste to Peace and Friendship Stadium, Kyle Hines’ responses show just how much he misses the time he played in Greece.
Wherever he went, wherever he played, wherever the road took him in the future, Kyle Hines will always remember his journey through Greece with nostalgia. EuroLeague asked the American legend who his favorite teammate was, which was the most difficult home in Europe and which opponent pushed him the most, with the Armani Milano player naming Vassilis Spanoulis, the Peace and Friendship Stadium and Mike Batiste.
“My favorite teammate was Vassilis Spanoulis. He was a great player, a great leader on and off the pitch and I learned so much from him. The most difficult stadium in my opinion is Olympiacos SEF in Piraeus. I played there for two years and I have so many memories. The toughest opponent I would say was Mike Batiste, he was a tough player, he was European champion, he was always a tough game for me‘ were the words of Kyle Hines.
