Maccabi: Andrea Trinkieri the big goal of the summer
After the sacking of Giannis Sfeiropoulos, Maccabi is looking for a coach who has made initial contacts with Odette Katas. However, a big goal for the “people’s team” is Andrea Trinkieri, for whom they want to wait until the summer.
The sacking of Giannis Sfeiropoulos from Maccabi’s bench has put the Israelis on the hunt for a coach. The first reports want former Panathinaikos coach Odette Katas to take charge of the team, however, the difference lies on both sides during the contract period (Katas wants a year and a half, a contract until the end of the season, Maccabi).
Maccabi doesn’t want to ‘tie’ Katas for the new season either, as she wants to fight to bring a big name to her bench. To with the Walla Sports That name appears to be Andrea Trinkieri, Bayern’s current coach but tied to the German side with a contract until 2023.
The Israelis are ready to wait until the summer to negotiate with Trinkieri and Bayern, but the task will certainly not be easy with the Italian coach tied to a contract with the Germans.
