Panathinaikos: There are definitely only eight players available for Zalgiris
Panathinaikos OPAP completed the mini-prep for the match with Zalgiris (1/, 21:00), with Dimitris Priftis having only eight designated players.
If the game with the Red Star four days ago was difficult due to problems, this against Zalgiris will look like … a mountain for Panathinaikos OPAP. Simply because the absences increased, which put Dimitris Priftis in the visible danger of only having eight (8) athletes available for the postponed EuroLeague game.
Because regarding the game against the Red-Whites from Belgrade, Nikos Hougaz has no right to participate (ss.: in the postponed games, the teams are on the squads they had on the originally scheduled date), while Lefteris Bohoridis is in due to a cramp the middle in the last two days extremely doubtful.
From then on, Ioannis Papapetrou, Stefan Jovic and Okaro White (all injured) will be absent, while Giorgos Papagiannis (ss: didn’t play for the Red Star either) with the men’s national team on Tuesday morning, March 1.
Opera and means that Dimitris Priftis can use it on a theoretical level (he has the right) if he wants.
By the way, we remind you that in the past the game between Panathinaikos OPAP and Zalgiris has been postponed twice, first due to cases of coronavirus in the Clover and then due to “Elpida” which made the operation of OAKA impossible.
In summary, the “safe ones” about rotating with Zalgiris are the following:
- Daryl Macon
- Vasilis Kavvadas
- Leonidas Kaselakis
- Neoclis Avdalas
- Nemanja Nedovic
- Jeremy Evans
- Lefteris Mantzoukas
- Howard St Ross
