Euro League
Finally Hackett from CSKA Moscow
CSKA Moscow has announced that Daniel Hackett is leaving the team for family and personal reasons related to the events between Russia and Ukraine. The way back to Italy opens up for Virtus.
Another player left CSKA Moscow after what happened in the last few days with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Daniel Hackett is a former member of Dimitris Itoudis’ team who explains in the announcement that the player left for family and personal reasons related to the Russian invasion. Now, after several years, he is returning to Italy on behalf of Virtus Bologna.
Boloboi, Sengelia, Vogtman, Grigonis, Ludberg have also left CSKA, which in its announcement states that all players and of course the coaching staff will remain in the team preparing for their next game commitments. Recall that a few hours ago the EuroLeague decided that the three Russian teams (CSKA, Zenit and Unics) will not play for a month until the situation with the war is resolved, with a visible risk of exclusion if no solution is found.
