EuroLeague: The final of the Final Four takes place on Saturday instead of Sunday
The change of seat (Belgrade instead of Berlin) is not the only differentiation of this season’s Final Four, as reports from abroad say that the final will take place on Saturday instead of Sunday.
The conference call, which took place on Monday, February 28, in the EuroLeague Basketball, decided, among other things, to move the Final Four from Berlin to Belgrade. Something that remains to be formalized in the coming days when the relevant announcements are made.
Aside from the change of headquarters, there is something else that makes this season different. According to reports from abroad (from Sportando and BasketNews), EuroLeague Basketball has decided to draw the semi-finals and the final a week and a day after the start dates.
That means the games will take place on Thursday 19th May and Saturday 21st May (instead of 27th and 29th May respectively). The reason; Stark Arena’s schedule is full of back-to-back commitments in hosting major events, so it was deemed appropriate to make this change.
Regarding the match that will determine this season’s trophy winner, it’s worth noting that for the first time since 2004, the finals of the tournament will be held on Saturday instead of Sunday.
