The fifth passer in EuroLeague history was Costas Sloukas, who overtook Dimitris Diamantidis at the age of 32.

Costas Sloukas became the fifth passer in the history of the EuroLeague on Tuesday evening (March 15). With the six assists he shared in the away win against Zalgiris Kaunas, the 32-year-old point guard averaged 1,256 in 307 games in his organization career, surpassing a legend of Greek and European basketball, Dimitris Diamantidis.

Diamantidis ended his career with 1,255 assists in 278 games in the Panathinaikos shirt, with Sloukas now facing three in action and another veteran player. Thomas Hertel is fourth with 1326, Sergio Rodriguez is third with 1535, Vassilis Spanoulis is second with 1607 and Nick Kalathis is first with 1621. Unless, of course, there is a suspension of performances in the games with the Russian teams, who, apart from the shocking surprise, will not return to the tournament this year.
