EuroLeague: The shareholder groups vote to kick out the three Russians
According to BasketNews, EuroLeague shareholder teams are invited within the next 24 hours to vote to kick out CSKA Moscow, Zenit and Unics Kazan.
The formal part of the expulsion of the three Russian teams (CSKA Moscow, Zenit, Unics Kazan) has yet to be ratified in the EuroLeague. The schedule, which was informally set by the teams – the event’s shareholders spoke of a decision that should be made in the last ten days of March so that everyone knows how things should go for the rest of the season.
According to BasketNews, Jordi Bertomeu will vote to exclude the “Three” from this season, with the thirteen shareholder teams (including, of course, CSKA Moscow) having the right to vote within the next 24 hours.
Opera and means that it will officially take shape no later than Tuesday afternoon, March 22, which everyone has been waiting for about twenty days. That means the EuroLeague 2021/22 will continue with three teams fewer and without counting the results of the rest.
