Maxvitis instead of Zdovch on Zalgiris’ bench from the new season, according to foreign reports
According to European reports, Kazis Maksvitis is expected to replace Yuri Zdovc on the Zalgiris bench in the new season, while the Lithuanian team returns to… Lithuanian hands.
The 2021/22 season is still going, however, according to the well-known website basketnews.com, Zalgiris has already decided not to leave Yuri Zdovch on the bench in the new season, but to replace him with Kazis Maksvitis.
As a result of this publication, Zalgiris agreed on a multi-year contract with the former Perm coach and returned back to … Lithuanian hands, which had to happen from the 2019/20 season, when Saronas Yassikevitsios was on the team’s bench.
Of course, it is interesting that Maksvitis is currently the coach of the Lithuanian national team, which could cause problems in FIBA’s “windows” in the new season.
