Euro League
The EuroLeague has announced the postponement of the Panathinaikos and Olympiakos games
The games Alba – Panathinaikos, Anantolou Efes – Bayern and Zalgiris – Olympiakos will be played at a later date, as the EuroLeague announced on Monday afternoon (03/01).
The many coronavirus cases in Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and Anantolou Efes have led the EuroLeague to the decision to host the games against Zalgiris, Alba and Bayern Munich at a later date.
The red-whites, Greens and Turks were widely dispersed, although the games in Kaunas (7/1), Berlin (6/1) and Istanbul (7/1) were not possible under normal conditions because the three teams had not the minimum number of eight available athletes.
The three games relate to the 19th game, with the teams having now decided that the quarantine for the players who tested positive for the corona virus would last 7 to 10 days. The final decision will be made by their vote, which is expected to take place on Tuesday (04/01).
