Priftis: “Nice to end the home games with such a win”
Dimitris Priftis stuck to the psychological appeal provided by Panathinaikos OPAP by beating Real Madrid, the first in four years for the Cloverleaf.
Panathinaiko’s OPAP pulled off a great win against Real Madrid from a psychological point of view, with Dimitris Priftis stating that the whole organization and friends of the team needed such a result. Also in the final of the home games for the EuroLeague.
Details of Dimitris Priftis’ statements:
“It was a good night for us, a good win. Congratulations to the players. We had the right mindset throughout the game, the ratio of assists (18) to errors (5) was very positive, which is important for our offensive play. Overall we behaved well. We need to focus on the following match with AEK. It’s nice that we ended the games in OAKA with a win like this, but it’s also a shame that we didn’t have any other ones during the season. But that’s a big story…“.
Whether this game can be a clue for the continuation of the season: “In the moral part it will help us in our psychology. We needed it, and of course that also applies to the people who support us. It takes nights like this. It’s up to us to keep some things at that level, get them right and get the best in front of us for the rest of the season“.
