EuroLeague: The corona virus dissolved the program with twelve postponements in ten days
The coronavirus disrupted the EuroLeague program, which went so far as to postpone twelve games in ten days. Only two games will be played for the 19th game.
The coronavirus in the EuroLeague continues, with the Red Star, Unics Kazan and Baskonia being the last (temporary) victims of the pandemic. Hence the massive postponements of games for the second week in a row.
More or less within a few hours on Tuesday, January 4th, EuroLeague Basketball had to announce the postponement of four games that were scheduled for the next two days (January 6th and 7th).
The organization rushed to update its health log (along the lines of the NBA), but even so, some things were inevitable. So much so that in the 19th match there will only be two (!) Matches on the day and time that were originally scheduled.
The reason for the following games:
- CSKA Moscow – Barcelona (7/1, 19:00)
- Armani Milan – Zenit (7/1, 21:30)
The shifts of the 18th game:
- Olympiakos – CSKA Moscow
- Armani Milan – Alba
- Villeurbanne – Bavaria
- Panathinaikos OPAP – Zalgiris
- Fenerbahce – Real Madrid
The shifts of the 19th game:
- Red star – Fenerbahce
- Alba – Panathinaikos OPAP
- Maccabi Tel Aviv – Basconia
- Real Madrid – Unics Kazan
- Anadolu Efes – Bavaria
- Zalgiris – Olympiacos
- Villeurbanne – Monaco
