A bad season ended for Panathinaikos with 13th place in the EuroLeague regular season ranking. The Greens defeated Fenerbahce in Istanbul, moving up to 9:19 and escaping the treble draw with Villeurbanne and Zalgiris Kaunas (8:20) ending their own year in 14th and 15th place respectively.
What pained Panathinaikos the most was their performance in away games as they recorded two wins in 13 games. The Greens lost 75-63 in Monaco, 81-79 in Basconia, 88-65 in Real Madrid, 77-73 in Maccabi Tel Aviv, 81-48 in Red Star, 76-69 in Zalgiris Kaunas, 81-78 in Bayern Munich , 75-54 at Armani Milano, 87-78 at Alba Berlin, 82-81 at Anadolu Efes, 86-60 at Barcelona, 101-73 at Olympiakos while beating Villeurbanne 76-63 and Fenerbahce 62-59 .
