Alba: Eleven coronavirus cases in the German team
Alba Berlin was the 13th EuroLeague team to be affected by the coronavirus and announced a total of eleven (11) cases.
In theory, Alba would meet Panathinaikos OPAP in the Mercedes Benz Arena on Thursday, January 6th. A game that of course (like the entire 19th game) was postponed due to the coronavirus cases in the Greek team.
But the German club did not escape the pandemic either and announced that a total of eleven members (players, coaches, employees) tested positive and immediately quarantined. Without naming names that were found positive.
Somehow, Alba became the 13th team in the EuroLeague that was affected by the corona virus, with those who – at least for the time being – were spared: Monaco, CSKA Moscow, Bavaria, Maccabi and Zalgiris.
