Israeli media reports that 6 cases of Maccabi players involve players
According to Israeli reports, Maccabi is counting 6 cases of coronavirus among players which, if confirmed, means that next week it will be very difficult to play in the EuroLeague, with the second case against Panathinaikos.
Maccabi announced yesterday (8/1) that the spread of the coronavirus in the group was confirmed without naming the number of cases. But the Israeli media have done it to her.
According to a contribution by “one.co.il”, six players on the team were found positive, while the seventh case concerns a technician. If confirmed, it will likely mean that the games with Alba (12/1) and Panathinaikos (14/1) for the EuroLeague will be postponed, as Maccabi has declared 14 players for the tournament while James Nanali is here a few days ago was removed from the team.
If one of the 6 cases does not affect the American – and without taking into account that a new case can arise by Wednesday (December 1st), when the game against Alba is scheduled, the Israelis usually do not have the required minimum of 8 players to play their play the next games in the tournament.
For the record: The championship game with Nes Ziona scheduled for today (9/1) has been postponed.
