Ergin Ataman once again gave a disarming answer, in this case to the question that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan asked him during their brief conversation.
According to MEGA, when the Turkish president asked him why he left Anatolian Efes to work for Panathinaikos AKTOR, he was heard saying: “I came for Panathinaikos AKTOR to finally beat Fenerbahce“.
The reason why he focused on Fenerbahce was none other than the fact that Recep Tayyip Erdogan is an avowed fan of the Turkish team, on whose bench Dimitris Itoudis has been sitting since last year.
According to ERT, Ergin Ataman told journalists after leaving the embassy that it would be possible to organize a friendly basketball game in Ankara in April as part of Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ visit to the Turkish capital.
