Olympiacos Piraeus completed a full training session for the first time
Olympiacos completed its first training session without any failures on Wednesday (December 13), two and a half months after the start of the 2023/24 season.
We had to reach December 13th, two and a half months after the start of the season, so that Giorgos Bartzokas could see a white card of absence and Olympiakos Piraeus could fully train.
The Greek coach of the Reds, who is preparing his team for the home game against Valencia (December 15th, 9:15 p.m.) as part of the 14th matchday of the EuroLeague, had all of his players available for training for the first time this year.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that everyone is immediately competitive. Naz Mitrou-Long, for example, is only eligible to play in Europe’s top club competition at the end of the first round, i.e. matchday 17, due to his presence at Zalgiris in the previous period. However, he is already waiting for his debut in the Stoiximan Basket League as he is expected to adopt the Greek identity in the next few days.
