Sarunas Jasikevicius takes over the technical management of Fenerbahce
Sarunas Jasikevicius is expected to become Fenerbahce’s new coach after reaching an agreement with Ali Kocs, as reported in Turkey.
Fenerbahce was not unprepared for the possibility of a change in technical leadership following the dismissal of Dimitris Itoudis (note: Stefanos Dedas is also leaving City, according to a Turkish publication).
This is confirmed by the fact that an agreement was reached with Sarounas Jasikevicius very quickly (on the same day).
The ex-Barcelona coach was the runner-up for the job from the start (which was immediately taken over by Sportish), with Ali Kocs stepping up and “getting the job done” very quickly. As reported from Turkey, both sides have reached an agreement and the 47-year-old technician should immediately move to Istanbul to find a job there.
The interest; His name came into the public eye about a month ago with the city’s other team, Anatolou Efes. However, Erdem Can… managed to save his job and improve the situation for himself and his team by “Saras” taking over the technical leadership of the “opponent” in the end.
Fenerbahce will be the third stop in Sarunas Jasikevicius’ career after Zalgiris (2016-20) and Barcelona (2020-23).
