Walkup: “Don’t let the ship sink until we’re all together.”
Thomas Walkup spoke to the NOVA camera after Olympiacos’ home loss to Valencia (56:63) and emphasized that the team should stay on the surface until everyone is at 100%.
Tomas Walkup attributed Olympiakos’ missed layups against Valencia to a lack of concentration and stressed that the red and whites should stay on the surface until they are all at 100%.
“This happens in the game when two or three possessions change the game. Olympiacos couldn’t find a rhythm and won the game in the final. There are reasons why we are delaying the attack. Coach Bartzokas has the right offensive plan.
This team has been together for two years, players come in and out and that influences us. Don’t let the ship sink until we’re all together. Missed layups are about concentration, not fatigue. “Confidence is everything, especially when you’re playing at home and people are screaming.” said the Olympiakos graduate in conversation with NOVA’s camera.
