This is Red Star’s budget for the 2023/24 season
Red Star’s budget for the 2023/24 season is 15.8 million euros, as announced by the team’s president, Nebojsa Covic.
Shortly after Partizan President Ostoja Mihailovic’s comments about the club’s budget, which is around 20 million euros, it was the turn of Red Star’s powerful man, Nebojsa Covic, who revealed that his own team’s budget is to 15.8 million euros.
“Red Star’s budget is 15,777,062 euros. Let’s say around 15,800,000 euros. According to EuroLeague Financial Fair Play, player spending cannot exceed 65% of the budget. This means the costs for the players amount to around 10.2 million, or more precisely 10,192,738 euros. This is the budget for the 2023/24 season. Of course, the budget can change if there are arrivals or departures.
Red Star respects this (see Financial Fair Play) and we hope that others do too. We were under surveillance last year when our neighbors (ss. Partizan) worked tirelessly to stop Campasso from playing. We took stock of last season in the EuroLeague. Early November, the deadline is December 20th. It will be very interesting to see what the committee’s opinion is on some of the other budgets. Here, for example, that of our neighbors. If you owe the state 585 million dinars in taxes …”, The president of Red Star hinted significantly.
