Besiktas wants a wildcard to play in the EuroLeague
The Besiktas president has revealed that his team wants to play in the EuroLeague immediately and will begin talks about securing a wildcard at the start of the new year.
Besiktas will secure a spot in the EuroLeague via a wildcard, the club’s new president Hasan Arat said.
“In January 2024 we will begin discussions about a wildcard for the EuroLeague. I hope that the merger between Besiktas and Bakhsehir will take place. This is a big project,” he pointed.
Let’s remember that Besiktas competed in the Basketball Champions League last year, but this year they moved to the EuroCup, where they have recorded 6 wins and 5 losses so far. Note that the team that wins the EuroCup will be promoted to the EuroLeague.
