Red Star terminated Napier’s contract on one condition and publicly covered for Sphairopoulos
In the past, Sabaz Napier was officially part of Red Star, with the Serbian team announcing that it had terminated the American’s contract on the condition that he only sign with Armani Milan, while publicly taking cover for Yannis Sfairopoulos over his statements .
The Shabazz Napier series has come to an end in Red Star. The Serbian team announced the termination of the American’s contract, but on the condition that Napier only signs with Armani Milan, and attacked him for the events between him and Yannis Sfairopoulos in recent days and publicly reported on the Greek coach.
In particular, the announcement of the termination of Napier’s contract states:
“In order to avoid publications, misunderstandings and rumors (as has happened in recent days), but also to protect the integrity of Mr. Yiannis Sfeiropoulos, Red Star informs of the following:
Athlete Sambaz Napier requested to leave the club on December 18, first informing coach Yiannis Sfairopoulos, who informed the world twice within a short period of time.
Since the team’s policy is not to have a player in its ranks who feels that he does not belong and does not want to be forced to play for the team, Red Star agreed to the termination of Shabazz Napier’s contract on condition that this is the case will only be able to compete for Armani Milano in the future.
The joint termination of the contract was signed on Wednesday, December 20, in Belgrade in the presence of both sides.
Red Star informs the world only through its official accounts and will inform the world clearly about its daily activities as well as its transfer policy at the right time.
It will be recalled that after Red Star’s game against Real, Yannis Sfeiropoulos stated that Napier did not play because he had communicated that he wanted to leave the team, to which the American responded with a post on Instagram. The Greek coach then explained that he had not seen the post as he only has a Twitter account, while in new statements he revealed that the American agreed with Armani.
To complete the circle, all that remains now is to announce Armani Milan’s Napier, who is returning to the Italian club just months after his departure.
