Maccabi: Kairi Thomas does not catch up with Panathinaikos because of quarantine, he runs for Olympiakos
Kairi Thomas, Maccabi’s new transfer acquisition, will not be available for the away game against Panathinaikos OPAP (December 14th, 9:00 p.m.) because he has to stay in quarantine in Israel for a few days.
Kairi Thomas is the corrective step that Maccabi Tel Aviv decided at the beginning of the new year to return to victories and climb the EuroLeague standings.
However, Giannis Sfeiropoulos’ team will not have him in the rotation for the away test at Panathinaikos OPAP (December 14th, 9:00 p.m.) due to the mandatory quarantine in Israel, which lasts seven (7) days.
Specifically, the 25-year-old Regional is expected to land in Tel Aviv on Wednesday December 12th, but there will be a delay of a few days before he will be made available to Giannis Sfeiropoulos due to the mandatory quarantine in the country.
So he is expected to make his debut against Olympiakos in the Menora Mivtachim Arena next week – if by then he has survived a minor injury that follows him from his tenure in Bilbao.
