Pappas: “Fenerbahce deserved the win, we gave them light shots”
Fenerbahce’s superiority was recognized by Christos Pappas, who replaced Giorgos Bartzokas from the moment he was sent off at Ulker Sports Hall.
He worked in the role of head coach for 23 minutes, from the moment George Bartzokas was sent off with two technical penalties during the same phase. Christos Pappas saw Olympiakos collapse in the second half of the game against Fenerbahce for the 20th EuroLeague game and admitted after the match that the Turks deserved the win.
“Of course they were superior to us. You deserved to win. They played with more strength and toughness, they put us under pressure and our attack obviously wasn’t up to it. We made bad choices about what gave them open field attacks, which resulted in easy shots“were the words of Pappas.
