Real Madrid turned the Spanish duel of the 21st EuroLeague game into a walk against Basconia (89-74), with Gerson Jabuselle outstanding and Trey Tombkins reappearing after nine months.

Real Madrid were determined to end the game against Basconia an hour early and they did (89-74). Pablo Lasso’s players quickly took a double-digit lead, didn’t look back and did their job with typical comfort against a side who quickly realized it was going to be a difficult night.

Despite the sudden absence of Eddie Tavares, the hosts broke rebounds (39v20) on a night important to them for a different reason. Trey Tombkins returns after nine months.

Alec Peters also made his own comeback for Basconia, making his first appearance of the season after knee surgery.

The race

Real Madrid didn’t let a minute go by without demonstrating their superiority. Pablo Lasso’s players hit the floor of the WiZink Center with their foot on the accelerator, with Gerson Yabuselle first and best of 13 points in the first ten minutes without missing a shot (5/5 two points, 1/1 three points). “Queen” at +8 (25-17).

Neven Spahia couldn’t find a way to slow down the home side, opening the gap even more. Very quickly, +6 (34-28 in 15′) became +15 (50-35) at half-time, with Real Madrid finishing the first part with 15/20 two points and 6/14 three points – a sign of their dominance.

The water was now in the ditch for Pablo Lasso’s players, who finally didn’t want to allow anything in Basconia.
