Fenerbahce: Without Sasha Georgevis on the bench at Zalgiris because of the corona virus
Fenerbahce meet Zalgiris (20/1) on the edge of the bench in their 22nd EuroLeague game without Sasa Djordjevic after the veteran coach tested positive for the coronavirus.
A few hours before the game against Petkim in Izmir, Fenerbahce announced that Sasa Djordjevic will not be on the bench due to a health problem.
The Turkey team explained that their coach tested negative for the coronavirus despite showing symptoms. However, as a precaution, it was decided not to train and return to Istanbul immediately.
A day later, on Monday 17 January, Fenerbahce announced that Sasa Djordjevic had tested positive following a new diagnostic test and was immediately quarantined.
A development that implies his absence in the home game against Zalgiris (20/1) for the 22nd game of the EuroLeague.
