Zenit – Monaco 77-86: Bacon and James keep the Monegasque on course

Despite the hosts’ outbursts, Monaco persevered and left Russia with a double, beating Zenit 86-77 in EuroLeague’s 22nd game and remaining in the hunt for eight.

Monaco stayed in the octave lane 86-77 after a difficult win over Zenit in Russia for tthe 22nd game of the EuroLeague. The visitors were in control for most of the game, and with their leaders Motiejounas and James, they withstood the hosts’ outbursts to celebrate their 10th tournament win. The game was tough but the Monegasques had to endure solutions and force the Russians to their seventh defeat.

The race

With Motiegounas making the difference, Monaco’s attacking start in the game was better, although Zenit’s defense was strong.
