Fenerbahce: Markel Starks closed for the rest of the season
Igokea announced the departure of Markel Starkes to Fenerbahce as the Turkey team burned for reinforcements in the region.
Markel Starkes is Fenerbahce’s new signing for the rest of the season. The Turkish team’s many problems (especially in the periphery) made the transfer reinforcement necessary, with Sasa Djordjevic ending up at the former Koroivos player.
The 30-year-old guard had a great season in the Igokea jersey, averaging 12.7 points, 6.8 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game in the Basketball Champions League, numbers that earned him promotion to the EuroLeague .
While his departure hasn’t been announced by Fenerbahce yet, Igokea rushed to say goodbye to him and wish him luck in Istanbul.
