CSKA – Efes: The terrible threesome – Hackett’s foul that didn’t reach the Muscovites
Daniel Hackett was trying to become CSKA’s big hero, but Vassilie Micic took his joy away with a basket 0.8” before the end. In overtime, Efes prevailed in Moscow and qualified for the 8th round of the EuroLeague.
In the battle for a place in the EuroLeague octave, Efes celebrated a huge double from Moscow, defeating CSKA 99-97 after extra time.
In fact, the regular season finale was shocking because with me an amazing threesome – Hackett’s foul from 45 degrees, Leonidas Pistiolis’ team (rather than Dimitris Itoudis, who was ill) took a two-point lead (86-84).
However, in Efes’ final attack, which lasted 13 seconds, Mitsic (who took charge) took the vertical corridor and hit with a layup at 0.8” before the closing horn was heard. With this performance, he sent the game into overtime, where the European champion got the big win.
