Elias Zouros’ team fell to 3-9 (2-4 h and 1-5 a), Dusan Alibijevic’s team rose to 4-7 (3-2 h and 1-5 a) with Andrew Andrews and Derek Needham, to judge the game.
Dimitris Agravanis continued his good performances and was the leader of Patras followed by Kendrick Ray and Nikos Gikas. Bad night for many, for Gaddy, for Hunt, for Simpson.
The race
Prometheus didn’t start the match well. Patras had 2/10 shots (18-11) in the eight minutes, they were just as effective from the line of fire (7/8) and that helped them not to find themselves in an even more difficult situation. The reaction of Zouros’ team came in the second ten minutes and even from the start.
Prometheus gnawed at the difference, going on and losing by three (31-28) in 14 minutes at halftime, remaining in the hunter role and dropping to four (73-69) in 33 minutes in the third period after stealing Gika and Ray’s three-pointer, but there he received a basket from Cevarius Hayes, a three-pointer from Omer Utku and again found himself in a difficult position from which it was very difficult to get out.
A difficult goal from Agravanis reduced the difference to four (80:76), but a mistake by Ray at 2:36 and a three by the hosts, which was celebrated furiously in the next phase, finally decided the game. It was Nidam who gave Patras a free-kick with a great shot, Bursaspor got the result in a very good game, in an impressive atmosphere.
