Prometheus Patras announcement for Bursaspor fans banner in detail:

Before the start of yesterday’s match with the Turkish team in Bursa for the 7 DaysEurocup, a nationalist banner was hung in the stands of Bursaspor fans with a clear reference to the Asia Minor disaster. Our reaction to this offensive banner was immediate and intense, with the result that the banner fell and the game started normally. Of course, our actions were not limited to the four lines of the floor, since we immediately informed the representatives of the Euroleague of what had happened and asked that the matter be addressed so that there is an unequivocal condemnation and that similar phenomena do not occur repeatedly, which in direct in contrast to the principles and values of the sporting ideal.

“Sport must not become a field of political expediency, but a place where societies come together.”
