Kalaitzakis’ Lietkabelis defeated Obradovic’s Partizan
A 20-0 in the second period was enough to give Lietkabelis a big and very easy win over Partizan (93-78) for the 14th game of the EuroCup.
Lietkabelis celebrated his seventh victory in 13 games at the EuroCup on Tuesday evening (March 8th). And what a victory! Very easy against Partizan (93-78) who was stretched from the final of the first third, falling to -29 and never finding a way to get a positive result in Lithuania.
From 24-24 of 10′, the hosts ran a shocking 20-0 streak to build a difference that carried easily through to the final. Good performance by Panagiotis Kalaitzakis (10 points, 2/3 two points, 1/4 three points, 3/4 shots, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals in 24:12), while Gediminas Orelik – George Gagic were in the lead Lietkabelis and his top scorers each with 21 points.
Kevin Panter (20 points, 3/7 two points, 3/5 three points, 5/5 shots, 3 rebounds, 2 assists in 24 minutes) and Rade Zagorac (16 points) were the only ones who fought for Zeljko Obradovic’s Partizan . who looked tired after the triumph over the Red Star, shot badly from the three, had little creativity and had too many and slight errors.
