The race

Prometheus lacked energy in the early minutes of the game, giving Cedevita Olympia a chance to find rhythm in attack. The hosts had 8/12 twos, 2/4 trebles and 5/7 shots in the first period, resulting in +12 (27-15), giving them the confidence to continue. Whatever Elias Zouros attempted, it was not easy to pull off as his side’s defense remained problematic. The -5 (48-43) of the half left a glimmer of hope for the continuation, but it closed again very quickly in the second half.

You see, Cedevita Olympia stepped on the gas (with Yogi Ferrell at the helm) and shot the difference to +20 (65-45 in 24′), taking the decisive step to victory. From then on everything was procedural. With poor percentages in the threesome and the hosts’ scale to be broken, Prometheus inevitably had to be defeated in Ljubljana to remain bottom of Group B.
