Turk Telecom and Gran Canaria are competing for the 2023/24 EuroLeague ticket
The EuroLeague 2023/24 ticket will be decided between Turk Telecom and Gran Canaria, with the two teams going head-to-head
Turk Telecom and Gran Canaria are the two teams that will duel in the final of the EuroCup with the background of winning the trophy but above all the ticket to the EuroLeague 2023/24.
Turk Telecom had to stage an impressive comeback against Prometei in the final two and a half minutes before clinching victory (76-74) in Riga. Emre Can’s team was 7 minutes behind, 2’35” but smiled in the final thanks to a two-pointer from Tony Taylor and a shot from Tyreek Jones in the dying seconds.
A few hours later Gran Canaria prevailed at home against Badalona (89-86). The home side held the lead for most of the game and celebrated in the final after Kyle Guy’s breather three-pointer (to send the semi-finals into overtime) hit the iron.
So the two are dueling for the EuroCup title and… promotion to the EuroLeague next season.
Incidentally, in the group stage, Gran Canaria and Turk Telekom were opponents, with the Spaniards winning at home (89:79) and away (88:81).
