Kastritis: “The level of the EuroCup is very high”
Aris returns to European competitions and today (7/7) found out which teams he will face in Group B of the EuroCup.
Aris learned which teams he will face in the new season’s EuroCup, and the Yellows coach Yiannis Kastritis commented on the draw and the group his team was placed in.
Concretely, the teams that will be on the path of the Thessaloniki team are the following: Gran Canaria, Buduchnost, Ulm, Burg, Turk Telecom, Lietkambelis, Trento, Slask and Cluj Napoca.
In detail, he said on the KAE Aris official website:
“We are very happy and delighted that the team is returning to a European competition, namely the EuroCup, after several years of absence. We are looking forward to the start of the year and to being on the field where we will face teams from other countries.” the very high level of Europe.
Until then, of course, we need to build up our squad and from there we all go out on the field together, healthy and hard, to be ready to meet the demands at the beginning of the year.
Of course, as far as the draw is concerned, it’s still too early to say as all teams are currently in a rebuilding phase. We know it’s the EuroCup, the run-up to the Euroleague, so we understand the level is very high.
Our group includes the two teams that made it to the finals of last year’s competition, Gran Canaria and Turk Telekom, as well as teams that are champions in their countries, such as Ulm in Germany and Cluj in Romania.
The other teams have many years of experience and presence in the facility. We are continuing the very hard work we started at all levels for next season with the aim of being responsive both in Europe and in the Basket League.”
