Mars: Olivier Hanlan travels to Valencia
Olivier Hanlan is expected to leave Mars in the coming days as Valencia have submitted a proposal for his takeover by the end of the season.
The impressive performance he delivered in the Thessaloniki derby against Iraklis (scoring Aris 24/30 points in the last half) is expected to be the last taste that Olivier Hanlan will leave for Aris’ friends.
The reason has to do with Valencia’s tempting offer to acquire it. The Spanish team went on the market following the serious injury of Klemen Prepelic (ss: he will lose the rest of the season) to bolster the region, with the 29-year-old Guard of Mars developing into Joan Penaroya’s wishful thinking for his last league Endesa.
During his three-year stint in the Stoiximan Basket League, Olivier Hanlan stood out with the colors of Hercules and Mars and became one of the league’s top performers. This season he has averaged 20.8 points (38.3% of them on threes), 3.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 33’33” involvement.
It’s worth noting that Olivier Hanlan is not eligible to play in the EuroCup as the tournament’s transfer window closed on March 8th.
