Official return of Bohorides to Mars

Lefteris Bohorides officially returns to Aris for his third term, the Thessaloniki team announced on Saturday morning (8/12). The two teams reached a verbal agreement on Friday (November 8th) and will now play together in the Basket League and the EuroCup next season.

“ARIS Midea KAE announces the acquisition of Lefteris Bohorides for the 2023-24 season.

Lefteris Bohorides was born on April 18, 1994 and plays in the guard positions with a height of 1.96 m.

The 29-year-old international star associated his name with ARIS Midea like no other. He started at the ARIS Academy at the age of 7. He continued to work in the infrastructure departments where he won the Panhellenic Youth Championship in 2011 and 2013. At the same time, he was promoted to the men’s team, with whom he signed a professional contract in 2012. In 2014 he took part in a cup final in Heraklion (Panathinaikos – ARIS 90-53). .

In 2014 he was transferred to Panathinaikos where he stayed until the start of the 2017/18 season. In November 2017 he returned to ARIS Midea as captain, where he played until the summer of 2020.

He then returned to Panathinaikos, where he has played for the past three years, and as of today, is a member of the ARIS Midea family for the third time in his career.

Bohorides in the national teams

The presence of Lefteris Bohorides in the national teams of Greece is big.

With the youth national team he counted 28 appearances with 214 points (mod.: 7.64) and with the young men’s national team 22 appearances with 273 points (mo.: 12.41).

ARIS guard Midea made his debut in the men’s national team in the 2019 World Cup qualifiers and took part in the 2022 and 2023 World Cup qualifiers.

During this time, Bohorides participates as the second ARIS national player together with Vassilis Toliopoulos in the preparation of the men’s national team for the 2023 World Cup.
