This difference remained until the finale of the first period (28-20, 10th minute), with Gallinat scoring 13 points and Gran Canaria keeping pace with the score thanks to its accuracy from distance (5/13 threes).

With a partial 2:9 until the 14th minute, the Spanish team came within striking distance (30:29). The guests passed by for the first time before the score was (32-34) 2’55” before the break, after a three-point pass Jovan Klajic. Finally, Jaka Lakovic’s team went into the locker room with +3 (35-38, 20th).

In the 23rd minute, Gran Canaria had a lead of 8 points (38-46), but Aris didn’t let it get away and equalized in the 29th minute (52-52), after a three-point lead. Pointer from Vassilis Toliopoulos and two shots from Galinat. The Greek guard made another big shot to make it 55:54, but Andrew Albisi answered him at the end of the third period and increased the score to 55:57 (30th).

Gran Canaria increased the lead thanks to the Frenchman’s three-pointer and scored another 14 points in a row by the 35th minute, extending the lead to +16 (55-71). At that point, Aris had neither the time nor the psychological reserve to get anything out of this game, knowing defeat when he returned to Europe.
